A wildfire on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge is moving swiftly. The Rowena Fire quickly grew to about 2,500 acres on Wednesday, prompting the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office to issue Level 3 "Go Now" evacuation orders for over 1,400 residents. Additional Level 2 and Level 1 orders were issued, affecting another 7,000 people. Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek activated the Emergency Conflagration Act to boost firefighting resources.
