For everyone who responded to our post about the famous Karri log - here is a great piece of historic footage of it being transported to Kings Park (thanks to the Historical Record Rescue Consortium and Lotterywest). Community views about the value of conserving our trees have certainly evolved since the 1950s. The tree was removed 15 years ago after it became structurally unsound.
