Another Death Adder, this time a Barkly Death Adder (Acanthophis hawkei) found on the blacksoil plains of the Barkly on an insanely hot night. We’d just seen two Mulgas next to each other on the road and a little further down, we spotted this snake just about to come onto the road. This was my personal biggest target for the night and they’re not very commonly seen either!
