In 1991 Jerry and Monique Sternin used the Positive Deviance approach to combat child malnutrition in Vietnam. The pilot project resulted in the sustained rehabilitation of several hundred malnourished children and the promotion of social change in their communities. Hien and Lang from Vietnam were both part of facilitating the project.
