This tension can reduce hip mobility and cause discomfort. Reducing tension in the psoas is easily done by learning to shift the body backwards. Holding squats against a wall with weight in the heels shifts the body backwards. This exercise is my favorite way to get the body to shift backward and therefore reduce psoas tightness
