A south wind begins increase between 10 and 20 mph throughout the day. For tonight, a line of showers and thunderstorms moves from west to east. A couple stronger storms producing damaging wind gusts is not out of the question. Temperatures plummet from around 60 degrees at midnight to the 20s at sunrise Monday.
There are several significant changes coming in our weather, but the most impactful will be the strong, damaging winds. As a result, the News10NBC meteorologists have upgraded our threat tracker from yellow to red alert.
First Alert Weather Days continue into Monday for the entire area. Snow will fall, heavy at times, and windy Sunday night into Monday morning. More flakes are possible leading up to the new year and even colder.
